About Simon Hegener

Back in 2015, when my stress was high and my health was at a low point, I discovered the transformative power of the cold.
What started as a personal journey to improve my own well-being has evolved into a passion to help others do the same.
If you’re struggling with health issues and are curious about the potential of cold therapy, this blog might offer valuable insights and information.
(Note: all of it is best effort and intent, none of it is medical advice.)
Luckily, more and more scientific research shows the effectiveness of cold exposure for various health issues.
Here, I bring you stories, event and product updates, as well as the latest research insights (in plain English).
As a paying member, you can take advantage of the "comment" function and respond to posts or ask questions.
Together, we can reclaim our health and reduce our reliance on pharmaceuticals when they aren’t absolutely necessary.
Why Should You Trust Me?
Initially, I trained as a Wim Hof Method instructor (I am no longer certified).
Later, I founded the Swiss Cold Training Association and opened Zurich’s first public winter swimming pool, complete with lifeguards (pretty "cool", right?).

Over the past 8 years, I led hundreds of people safely into the cold and taught them my own ice fitness regimen to warm up as quickly as possible.
During my tenure as president of the Swiss Cold Training Association, I organized workshops for companies (including FIFA) and trained instructors to spread the benefits of cold therapy to a wider audience.
